How a project works
From the first inquiry to the final walkthrough — here's exactly what happens at each step. We'll tell you realistic timelines, who's responsible at each phase, and what we need from you.
Initial inquiry
You reach out via the website contact form, phone, text, or a Meta lead ad. Onn personally reads every inquiry. You'll hear back within one business day.
Discovery call
A 20-minute call to understand vision, scope, budget, and timeline. We'll confirm whether we're a good fit. If we are, we schedule an in-home visit. If we're not, we'll tell you and where we think you should look.
In-home consultation
Walk-through of your property. We'll measure, photograph, and talk through how the space is used today and how you want it to feel. About 60–90 minutes. No fee, no pressure.
Personalized quote
A clear, line-itemed proposal — not a single number. Materials, labor, allowances, and contingency are broken out so you can see where money goes and adjust scope before signing.
Design phase
Floor plans, 3D renderings, material palettes, and mobile showroom visits. We iterate until you're excited — not just satisfied. Most kitchens take 3–6 weeks of design; whole-home projects can take 8–12.
Permits and pre-construction
Plan check submission to the relevant building department (LADBS for most LA, separate departments for Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, etc.). Plan check ranges from 3–10 weeks depending on city and scope. While permits process, we lock in materials and prep the site.
Construction
Demo, framing, MEP rough-ins, drywall, finishes, fixtures. Onn is on site weekly — sometimes daily on tight phases. You'll get weekly updates with photos, what was done, what's next, and any change orders documented before any extra work begins.
Final walkthrough & close-out
Punch list, deep clean, certificate of occupancy where applicable, warranty information, and a thorough walkthrough. We don't consider the project done until every drawer slides, every fixture works, and you're happy.
