Kitchen Remodeling in Cerritos
Serving 90703 and Artesia, La Palma, Norwalk
Cerritos offers the most straightforward remodelling conditions in this part of the region: flat lots, consistent 1960s and 70s tract housing, easy access, and a city that runs its own Building & Safety Division with applications submitted online. There is no hillside, no coastal layer and no gated-access overhead, which means an unusually large share of a kitchen budget ends up in the finished kitchen. What these houses need is also consistent — the kitchen was walled off from everything, and it is time that changed.

Kitchens in the 90703 tracts
The wall between the kitchen and the family
Tract plans of this era treated the kitchen as a service room with a pass-through to a dining space nobody uses. Removing that division — properly, with the structure resolved rather than improvised — is the change that reorganises how the whole house is lived in.
The breakfast nook is spare floor area
Most of these plans carry a small dining nook next to the kitchen that duplicates the dining room a few feet away. Absorbing it into the working kitchen typically delivers the island and the storage the household actually wants, without touching the exterior at all.
Electrical capacity from another era
A kitchen built for one oven and a fridge is now asked to run induction, a large refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave and a laundry nearby. Checking the service and the panel before finalising the appliance list is basic diligence and regularly changes the plan.
A city process that stays out of the way
The city's Building & Safety Division issues permits for construction and modifications, and applications are submitted and processed online. The schedule risk in a Cerritos kitchen is almost always the scope, not the city.
