Kitchen Remodeling in Corona del Mar
Serving 92625 and Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach
On the flower streets the house is already as wide as the lot allows, so a Corona del Mar kitchen is designed in section as much as in plan: what the stair does to it, where daylight can reach it from, and how a slab or a run of cabinetry is going to get through the door in the first place. We have finished and published a two-storey whole-home remodel here, and the opened-out kitchen with its broad quartz island was the centre of it.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What 27 finished LA kitchens actually cost: a median of $50k, in a range of $23k–$84k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$25,000 White shaker cabinetry, white subway tile, and light quartz counters.
$41,000 Espresso shaker cabinetry, light quartz counters and a linear glass mosaic backsplash.
$50,000 Navy shaker lowers under white uppers, with a slate-tone tile backsplash and a wood ledge shelf.
$65,000 White uppers over grey shaker lowers with brass pulls, an apron sink and a broad quartz peninsula.
$72,000 White shaker cabinetry against a deep teal backsplash, with an island under a stainless hood.
$84,000 Warm grey shaker cabinetry with quartz counters, plus floating vanities in dark stone tile.
Kitchens on a thirty-foot lot
The width is fixed, so the plan goes up and back
Nothing widens a thirty-foot lot. What can change is where the kitchen sits in the section of the house — front or back, ground or middle floor — and which wall is worth removing to let one room reach both ends of the plan. That decision is made on a drawing of the whole house, not a drawing of the kitchen.
An island only works if it earns its aisles
Islands are what people ask for here and they are frequently the wrong answer at this width. A peninsula, a longer run or a table that does the same social work can leave a room that functions rather than one that is admired and squeezed past. We lay the aisles out before anyone chooses a stone.
Everything arrives through one opening
Alley access, a side path or a staircase decides the maximum size of anything solid in the room. Worktop lengths, appliance cases and cabinetry carcasses get chosen against the route on the day they are specified, because a slab that will not turn the corner is not a delivery problem, it is a redesign.
Coastal hardware, chosen rather than defaulted
Hinges, runners, handles and anything with a screw in it live three blocks from open water. Specifying for that is unglamorous, costs little at the point of choosing, and is the difference between a kitchen that ages and one that corrodes.
