Interior Design in Hermosa Beach
Serving 90254 and Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance
The interior brief in Hermosa Beach is set by the section of the house rather than its plan. Light is abundant at the top and scarce at the bottom, rooms are narrow, the stair is always present, and everything in the building is exposed to more sun and more salt than the same object would be a mile inland.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What our finished LA work actually cost: 27 kitchens ran $23k–$84k, median $50k; 28 bathrooms $28k–$105k, median $38k; 17 whole-home remodels $36k–$440k, median $150k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$30,000 A deep navy wall over textured white tile, with a floating walnut vanity and matte black fittings.
$34,800 White uppers over warm grey shaker lowers, white quartz, and a stainless chimney hood.
$45,000 Rust and blue slate-tone tile over a pebble mosaic shower floor, with bronze fittings.
$84,000 Warm grey shaker cabinetry with quartz counters, plus floating vanities in dark stone tile.
$242,700 Structural work to open up the space, a vaulted ceiling, solid wood floors, kitchen and two baths.
$250,000 White shaker cabinetry and veined quartz, with hex-mosaic walk-in showers.
Interiors for tall, narrow, sunlit houses
A different scheme at each level
A top floor full of light and a ground floor with very little of it should not be finished identically. Treating the levels as related rather than matching is what makes a tall narrow house feel considered rather than repetitive.
The stair is a room you pass through constantly
On three levels the staircase is used more than most rooms and looked at more than all of them. Lighting it, finishing it and giving it somewhere to put daylight is worth a share of the budget that it almost never gets.
Sun, salt and fabric
Strong daylight fades textiles and salt air is hard on metal. Choosing for that is not a restriction on the scheme — it is what stops the scheme looking tired in three summers.
Drawn by the people who install it
We design and build, so a finish that cannot travel the route into the house or cannot be installed cleanly on a narrow landing is caught at specification rather than on site.
