Interior Design in Westlake Village
Serving 91361 · 91362 and Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills, Oak Park
The interiors of Westlake Village have usually been cared for continuously, which creates a particular design situation: nothing is broken, everything is dated, and decades of individually reasonable decisions have accumulated into a house without a single idea. The work is editorial as much as decorative — deciding what the house is, removing what argues with it, and letting the setting the community was planned around do more of the talking.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What our finished LA work actually cost: 27 kitchens ran $23k–$84k, median $50k; 28 bathrooms $28k–$105k, median $38k; 17 whole-home remodels $36k–$440k, median $150k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.

$38,000 Emerald shaker cabinetry and brass hardware around a cream range and an apron sink.
$56,000 Marble-look slab walls with matte black fittings and a backlit mirror over an oak vanity.
$63,500 White cabinetry with brushed-gold hardware, a white-oak island, and a marble-look slab backsplash.

An interior for a mature house
Editing decades of reasonable decisions
Each previous update solved a real problem in its own moment, and together they read as noise. The most valuable early work is subtractive: identifying which elements carry the house and which are simply left over, then committing to one coherent direction across the whole plan.
Letting the setting into the room
These houses were sited to see water, fairway or hillside. Interiors that acknowledge that — in where seating faces, in how window treatments are handled, in a palette drawn from outside rather than imposed on it — feel settled in a way that a purely internal scheme never manages.
Scale for generous rooms
Original rooms here are larger than modern equivalents and defeat furniture bought for a smaller house. Getting the scale right — larger pieces, fewer of them, lighting hung at heights that suit the ceiling — solves more perceived problems than any change of colour.
Materials that suit an inland-valley climate
Hot, dry summers and real seasonal swing are hard on timber, textiles and anything that moves with humidity. Specifying with that in mind, and detailing for movement where floors and joinery meet, keeps a beautiful scheme looking deliberate three summers later.
