Interior Design in Arcadia
Serving 91006 · 91007 and Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre
Interior work is the part of an Arcadia project least touched by the city's exterior design review, because none of it faces the street. That makes it the freest work we do here — and in houses of this size, the work with the most room to be ambitious.
Interiors in generously sized houses
Scale needs a plan
Large rooms are harder to get right than small ones. Deciding what each area is for, and where the eye should land, is what stops generous space reading as unresolved.
Design and build in one place
We design and build in-house. On interior work that mostly shows up as fewer things being lost between the person who drew it and the person who has to make it fit.
Formal rooms that earn their space
Houses of this size often carry a formal room nobody uses. The most valuable interior decision here is frequently deciding honestly what that space is for, and then committing to it, rather than refurnishing a room that will stay empty.
Entrances that carry some weight
In houses of this scale the entrance sets the tone for everything past it, and it is frequently the least considered space in the plan. Giving it proper light, storage and a reason to pause repays the attention.
