Whole-Home Remodeling in San Marino
Serving 91108 and Pasadena, South Pasadena, Alhambra
Our published San Marino project is a whole-home remodel: a cobalt-tiled kitchen, marble-look bathrooms in brushed brass, photographed after completion, with the homeowners recording their own video at the range wall. Whole-house work suits this city, because the houses are structurally sound and comprehensively out of date — the rare combination where one coordinated programme is genuinely cheaper than five separate ones.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What 17 finished LA whole-home remodels actually cost: a median of $150k, in a range of $36k–$440k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$150,000 A cobalt glass-tile backsplash with marble-look slab baths in brushed brass.
$238,000 A walnut-fronted quartz island, arched openings, and sage-green stacked tile baths.
$242,700 Structural work to open up the space, a vaulted ceiling, solid wood floors, kitchen and two baths.
$275,000 A broad quartz island, a curved staircase with iron balusters, marble-look baths.
$279,000 White shaker cabinetry, granite counters, and a tan subway tile backsplash.
$440,000 Stone-look tile bathrooms with freestanding tubs, under an exposed beam ceiling.
Whole-house work in San Marino
Sound structure, dated plan
These houses were built properly. What they need is not rescue but reorganisation: circulation, room sizes and the relationship between cooking, eating and living brought up to the way the household actually lives.
One design review, not several
If any part of the programme touches what the street sees, it is better to take the whole exterior proposition to design review once, coherently, than to return three times with pieces of it. That is a scheduling argument and also a design one.
Services while the walls are open
Electrical capacity, plumbing, mechanical and insulation done during a whole-house project cost a fraction of what they cost later. Skipping them is the most expensive saving available in a house of this age.
Living elsewhere, and being honest about it
A whole-house remodel in an occupied home is possible and usually miserable. We say which parts of the programme genuinely require the house to be empty, so the decision is made on information rather than optimism.
