Interior Design in San Marino
Serving 91108 and Pasadena, South Pasadena, Alhambra
San Marino interiors are an exercise in proportion. The rooms are tall, symmetrical and formally planned, and they punish furniture and lighting chosen for a modern open plan. The work is to make them comfortable and current without flattening the formality that is the reason the house is worth living in.
Real projects. Real prices.

Interiors for formal houses
Scale before style
In a room with a tall ceiling and a real cornice, the first decisions are sizes: how big the joinery is, how high the lighting sits, how much wall is left. Get those right and almost any palette works; get them wrong and none does.
Formality does not have to mean period pastiche
A symmetrical room can take a very contemporary scheme as long as the symmetry is respected. The failures here are not modern interiors; they are interiors that ignore the architecture and then fight it.
Specified by the people who install it
We design and build, so a scheme is written knowing who has to fit it. That removes the whole category of specification that photographs beautifully and cannot be executed in a plastered room with a hundred-year-old floor.
