Kitchen Remodeling in Villa Park
Serving 92861 and Orange, Anaheim Hills, North Tustin
The kitchen in a Villa Park house is almost always in the middle of the plan, behind a wall, with a formal dining room on one side that gets used twice a year and a hallway on the other doing the work a room should. It is small not because the house is small — the house is not small — but because it was drawn to be separate. We have taken one of these houses apart and published the result.
Real projects. Real prices.

$63,500 White cabinetry with brushed-gold hardware, a white-oak island, and a marble-look slab backsplash.
$72,000 White shaker cabinetry against a deep teal backsplash, with an island under a stainless hood.

Kitchens at the dead centre of a ranch plan
The room is not the problem, the partitions are
Enlarging a kitchen inside a ranch plan usually means absorbing the formal dining room or the hallway rather than adding to the outside of the house. That is cheaper than an addition and it produces a better plan, which is an unusual combination worth taking seriously.
An island is available here, and worth planning properly
Unlike narrow-lot houses, these plans genuinely have room for one. That makes the aisle widths, the overhang and where people stand the real design work rather than a question of whether it fits at all.
Arched openings instead of doors
Opening a wall does not have to mean removing every wall. A shaped opening keeps some definition between rooms while letting light and sight lines through — the approach we took on the house we finished in this city.
