Kitchen Remodeling in Yorba Linda
Serving 92886 · 92887 and Anaheim Hills, Placentia, Brea
Most Yorba Linda kitchens sit under a flat ceiling with several feet of unused roof volume above it, behind a wall that was drawn when kitchens were meant to be separate rooms. That combination — a wall that can come out and a ceiling that can go up — is why the best value here is structural rather than decorative, and it is what we did in the full-house remodel we finished and published in this city.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What 27 finished LA kitchens actually cost: a median of $50k, in a range of $23k–$84k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$34,800 White uppers over warm grey shaker lowers, white quartz, and a stainless chimney hood.
$38,000 Emerald shaker cabinetry and brass hardware around a cream range and an apron sink.
$60,000 Traditional shaker cabinetry with encaustic tile accents and a warm-wood island.
$63,500 White cabinetry with brushed-gold hardware, a white-oak island, and a marble-look slab backsplash.
$72,000 White shaker cabinetry against a deep teal backsplash, with an island under a stainless hood.
$75,000 Wood shaker cabinetry under a full-height quartz slab, with a marble-look hall bath.
Kitchens with a roof void above them
The wall and the ceiling are one decision
Taking out the wall between a kitchen and the living space, and opening the ceiling above both, are cheaper and better as one piece of work than as two. Engineered together, the beam and the new roof structure can be resolved once. Done separately, the second job frequently has to undo part of the first.
Work out what is carrying the roof before drawing
Houses of this era are framed in ways that vary house to house — a trussed roof and a stick-framed one look identical from below and behave completely differently once you want the space above. A loft inspection before design is twenty minutes that can change the budget by a great deal.
Large kitchens need a plan, not just square feet
When the room ends up genuinely big, the risk stops being cramped and becomes distance: a sink, a hob and a fridge spread so far apart that cooking becomes walking. The layout gets drawn around how the household actually uses the room, which is a conversation rather than a template.
Services travel further here
Wide plans and long runs mean gas, water, power and extraction all cover more ground than in a compact house. It is ordinary work and it is not free, so it is priced from a survey rather than assumed from the floor area.
