Interior Design in South Pasadena
Serving 91030 and Pasadena, San Marino, Alhambra
The interior problem in this city is arithmetic rather than taste. Houses here were built with many small rooms rather than a few large ones, almost no built-in storage, and doorways placed for a way of moving through a home that nobody uses now. The scheme that works is the one that solves circulation and storage first and then decorates, which is the opposite of the order most people start in.
Real projects. Real prices.
73 finished remodels published with their final price — nothing hidden.
What our finished LA work actually cost: 27 kitchens ran $23k–$84k, median $50k; 28 bathrooms $28k–$105k, median $38k; 17 whole-home remodels $36k–$440k, median $150k. Real final prices from our own job records, not estimates.
$28,000 Stacked white tile and a blue patterned floor, with brushed brass fittings and a round mirror.
$41,000 Espresso shaker cabinetry, light quartz counters and a linear glass mosaic backsplash.
$45,000 Rust and blue slate-tone tile over a pebble mosaic shower floor, with bronze fittings.
$72,000 Honey-oak cabinetry replaced with white shaker fronts and a marble-look quartz island.
$237,000 Deep green tile floor-to-ceiling, a farmhouse sink, living space open to the patio.
$279,000 White shaker cabinetry, granite counters, and a tan subway tile backsplash.
Small rooms in a series
A sequence of rooms wants a sequence of decisions
When five modest rooms open off one another, finishing each in isolation makes the house feel like five houses. Choosing one thread — a floor, a tone, a trim colour — that carries through all of them is what makes a small plan feel generous instead of chopped up.
Built before anybody had things
Closets in these houses are shallow, few and occasionally absent. Purpose-built joinery in the awkward places — under a stair, along a landing, in the chimney breast recesses — recovers more usable space than any amount of rearranging furniture, and it is the work that most changes daily life.
Colour against original woodwork
Where the trim, the doors and the floors are original and staying, the wall colour is chosen against a fixed, warm reference that a showroom card cannot predict. Samples get looked at in the actual room, at the hours the room is used, before anything is ordered.
Doorways in the wrong places
A great deal of what makes these plans feel cramped is a door swinging into the only usable wall. Moving or rehanging a single opening is a small builder's job with a large effect, and it is worth identifying before the furniture plan is drawn around the problem.
